Bahagia Bulletin # – The Town Council is building new footpaths and walls

Submitted by Gigi on September 27, 2008 – 10:56 pmNo Comment

We heard some clanging sounds from the outside of our home this morning and realized some workers are taking down the wall-mounted street lights!

Then we realized there was a piece of Notice issued from the Town Council, in our letter box.

The Lesse

Re-screed existing footpath, re-plaster retaining wall & reconstruct staircase

As part of the current improvement works currently being carried out in the estate, we are pleased to inform you that the Jalan Besar Town Council will be carrying out the above-mentioned works in front of your entrance gates from xx to xx.

During the works there will be noise and dust generated. To facilitate the works, we would like to seek your cooperation:

a) Remove articles or objects which are obstructing the works at your front entrance
b) Keep children away from areas where works are being carried out

So, we’re going to have new footpath and new walls. It sounds like we are going to have a new and refurbished estate! I just hope that the workers are careful with my new floor tiles outside my gate. *cross fingers*
