X-Building in Bahagia #2 – I Dreamed of a White Kitchen
We’ve been doing some surfing on ID websites and looking at ideas from magazines. So here I am, categorizing them into different sections so that when we meet the interior designer, we have a better idea of what we want.
Let’s start with the layout of the kitchen, my favourite part of the house. I’m in a bit of dilemma whether to go WHITE and let my kitchen be a non-functional aesthetically pleasure space or to put in some thought for its maintenance. Well, we don’t really cook (for now) so our preference is the minimalistic WHITE.

A white kitchen with stainless steel backwall or a white glass backing? Cut out from a magazine.

A L-shape kitchen – a possible layout.

Or a U-shape kitchen. I’m also looking for a space to display the liquor bottles (Chuck’s genes are crying out loud for a space). How about a hanging rack above the countertop, like in the picture?

Or let’s scrap the white. Wood with black tiles – a cosier feel?
I think the kitchen space in this HDB terrace layout is very spacious, we should be able to afford an island (space wise I mean).

Some pictures of very nice and similar concept kitchen islands. Are you also looking for an island?

i like the 4th pic with the over hanging glass rack. but im thinking, if u get like..dark brown with black tile, its darker lei. look smaller lei.
how about red glossy & black cabinets and etc with black floor and a black bar. the shelves all holding ur wines.
mua hahaha.
agree on the space issue
red glossy & black cabinets may look too art deco style. Haven’t really decided on a theme.
