Of Tailored Pants, Shanghai Divas and a Secret Place
The tailored pants from Oxford Tailor didn’t really look that good. Too masculine for my liking, have been warned by the tailor but I took it up anyway. The crotch area is also a bit loose. My legs are really a part of my body I would like my clothes to accentuate on, but I have been having difficulties buying off-the-rack working pants. Will wear the $130 tailored pants for more formal occasions and continue to visit the fitting rooms more often.

Lunch at a corner ramen restaurant in Raffles City with YH whose office is in the building itself. The special miso ramen was rather nice, although I only finished half the portion. YH mentioned that he notices it’s a trend that girls will shrink before marriage and after marriage it’s ballooning time, and asked me if it applies to me. I nodded and think I’m at the beginning of his so-called “trend”. Especially more so after my 10-day burst in Shanghai. As for his “ballooning” part, I too agree (but that’s another story to be told). We had a quick catch up with each other because I didn’t attend the last gathering at his new Kovan Melody home. Basically we think everyone’s the same as 10 years ago just that some are moving on to marriage. Kudos!
Raffless City Shopping has a bit of change since I’ve last been there. What used to be a big atrium space in the middle of the mall, has become high-end shops like Bally. There’s another new extension in B1 with a mixture of restaurants and retail shops like Eu Yan Sang. Anyway I only had time to walk into That CD Shop and browsed around.
I was introduced to Shanghai Diva by Chuck 1 year ago and I totally fell in love with some of the songs. There were jazzy classics from songs of my generation. I like how the songs were tweaked into jazzier versions of the originals. It’s very chill, laid back, swing… nothing jarring, nothing fast and fancy. Her voice in Shanghai Diva was impeccable. Today I saw Part 2! And I knew I had to get it home after testing it out at the player

$29.90 for Shanghai Diva 2 with a nice pink satin pouch.
The songs that caught my attention are 女人花,只要你过得比我好,夜来香,再见我的爱人,美酒加咖啡,阿里山的姑娘。 Chuck finds 夜来香 abit too futuristic and weird for his liking.

Yesterday night, the group got to our Secret Place near the office. Shouldn’t reveal where it is because it should remain like this – having the whole floor to ourselves. Haha. I heard the pool table sucks and I realized the electronic dart boards have been reduced from 3 to 1! Why!
