We had a steamboat feast!

Submitted by Gigi on September 29, 2008 – 5:05 pmNo Comment

We had a great idea to do the first steamboat on a Saturday night. It’s very shiok to watch Liverpool scoring goals and having nice steamboat in front of the TV. Yum!

We bought like $50 worth of food from NTUC Finest. It’s only times like these that get Chuck and me really excited about doing grocery shopping together. Shabu shabu pork and beef – lots of them. Lots of mushroom. A few tiger prawns. Can’t find Tang Oh though – the labels on the vegetable shelves didn’t read anything like this. Soup base – I used chicken drumstick bones and chicken feet (abit), ikan bilis, red dates and corn and carrots. Don’t add salt to the soup base cos when you cook the fresh stuff in it, it’ll naturally add some salt to it. No MSG and super sweet!

Note: The amount of ingredients lasted for 2 meals.
