Fire at Ava Tower Balestier Road

Nothing was unusual during our drive home except when a Civil Defence vehicle suddenly cut into our lane and gestured for us to give way.
.. till it turned off into Ava Road along Balestier Road. Guess what we saw?
People lining up the pavements and wet roads. Ah I see, one of the condominium units is on FIRE! Black smoke rising to the sky… See the unit on Level 7 or 8?

I’m not sure what happened but the TV news mentioned it wasn’t anything major and the condo residents can go back to their homes after the fire was put out. Cause of the fire is unknown at press time.
